German toy manufacturers have presented their products in a pavilion sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair since 1995. With 1,978 exhibitors and 29,324 trade visitors in 2007, this event is one of the key platforms for toy exhibitiors and buyers from all over the world.

The fact that China is a rapidly growing and upcoming market is a decisive factor for the German companies to participate at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair to get involved there soon and to cultivate existing contacts.

The export efforts of the German toy manufacturers last year were reflected in further increases. Toys were produced in Germany to the value of 1,12 bn. EUR. Toys imports amounted to 2,96 bn. EUR and exports amounted to 1,85 bn. EUR.

The trends set by German toy manufacturers are still in demand as "Classics made in Germany", headed by model railways, model cars, wooden toys, plush toys, dolls, puzzles, playschool toys, indestructible high-quality plastic toys and fun & party-articles.

The German toy industry is represented by 13 toy manufacturers with a significant cross-section of products in this year's official pavilion at Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair 2008. The German toy manufacturers wish to demonstrate that the traditional toy production location Germany also stands for "creativity" and "innovation".

The Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the German Association of Toy Industries have the pleasure of welcoming you to the Official German Presentation at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair 2008.
